Hey. I'm jourdan.

I am currently a graduate student at Northwestern University where I will earn my master's degree in Journalism with a specialization in sports media from the Medill School of Journalism in September.

During my time at Medill, I have freelanced with ESPN and The Shadow League. I have also served as a host for Medill Sports Talk and reporter for the Medill News Service. My focus has really been reporting on the growing esports scene, and I can also report on other sports as well.

This summer I worked with the No Excuses Foundation as a Summer Pro League contributor. Through this experience, I interview professional athletes and help to increase the league's visibility through social media, YouTube and my personal blog

Sports broadcasting is my passion, and I would love to take this passion and my experience in the field to continue to tell these stories in the professional sports industry through a local television station or as a beat reporter.

Being born and raised in the Home of America’s Team, I love Dallas sports and the State Fair of Texas. Outside of my passion of sports journalism, I enjoy attending and watching all sporting events, cooking from the Food Network, line dancing, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
